Senior Quantity Surveyor / Business Development Manager

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record of success in the construction industry, who can also bring new business opportunities to our company.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior level Quantity Surveying services to our clients
  • Lead and manage the cost planning and estimating process for our clients construction projects
  • Prepare and review project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans
  • Oversee cost management, risk management, and value engineering processes
  • Provide advice on procurement strategies, contract conditions, and dispute resolution
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and identify new business opportunities
  • Develop proposals and presentations for potential clients
  • Manage and mentor junior staff members
  • Participate in business strategy development and implementation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying in the construction industry
  • Strong business development and sales skills, with a track record of bringing new business to a company
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and regulations
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional certifications such as PQS, MRICS or AACEI are preferred
